Keeping the Spook Alive

Building YouTube Set: Rudy has been doing some Winter cleaning to set up a small set to start recording more YouTube videos and networking with others in the spooky community.

The Big Bang Theory Halloween Episode: The Ghoul Mates have been binging The Big Bang Theory, and recently saw the Halloween episode, and talk about the cast’s costumes.

Mandy’s Favorite Things: Mandy has been working on her personal instagram where she is posting 12 days of her favorite things series. Krampus Krampus was released on December 4, 2015 and was directed by Michael Dougherty. It has a 66% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Ghoul Mates discuss the cast and the different roles they played in different movies and tv shows. They talk about how it reminded them of their other favorite Christmas movies, but with a scary storyline, discuss all the different monsters, and give their theories on what happens at the end!

Christmas Urban Legends (Special Fables from Our Familiar)


Krampus: The Ghoul Mates go into the origin of Krampus, Krampusnacht (the day he comes to visit), and Krampuslauf (a parade celebrating Krampus).


Belsnickel: Rudy reviews the origin of another Urban Legend, one that brings gifts for children and punishes bad children. He also talks about The Office episode where Dwight takes on the Belsnickel personality.


Gryla: Mandy talks about the Christmas Witch Gryla, explaining her origin and how she takes naughty children back to her home to boil and eat, her mischievous children The Yule Lads, and the cameo these legends make in Netflix’s Chilling Adventure of Sabrina.
